Job Summary

The Wholesale Representative 1 is responsible for generating sales directly through contacting wholesale accounts via telephone. Schedules sales calls and submits results of sales activities. Identifies additional selling opportunities and compiles information shared from customer in an organized manner. This position is characterized by a sustained record of sales achievement and complete knowledge of this organizations policies and products.        

Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn, practice and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's) established for the Customer Service Department.
  • Learn, practice and adhere to all Safety & Quality Policies and Procedures.
  • Learn, practice and adhere to Customer Service Department Policies and Procedures.
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Present and sell company products to current and potential clients as assigned.
  • Adhere to sales programs and promotions as instructed by Sales Manager.  
  • Prepare and communicate daily sales results.
  • Follow up on accounts as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  • Promptly answers calls, attempts to answer caller’s questions, transfers calls in a friendly, helpful, professional, courteous manner.
  • Enter customer’s order, inputs items using computer system and verifies order with customer before ending the call.
  • Inputs and/or verifies appropriate customer billing, shipping and credit card information.
  • Enters detailed notes for customer file/order to ensure proper processing and recordkeeping.
  • Processes orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Provides customer with shipping options and pricing, and enters appropriate shipping information on order.
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Desired Skills:

  • Read, write, speak and comprehend English. Foreign language skills are a plus. 
  • Basic Math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and weights and measures.
  • Ability to communicate both written and orally within the organization.
  • Has basic knowledge of vitamin supplements.
  • Positive suggestions to improve operations in the work center.
  • Team Oriented - being helpful, respectful, approachable, building strong working relationships and a positive work environment, is responsible, honest, and loyal, interacts with others tactfully, resolves conflicts appropriately and adapts to change.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Is cost conscious: We are an ESOP Company!
  • Compliance with scheduled overtime and or change of shifts during peak periods or as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to work well under changing demands.
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Micro Soft and/or Oracle programs.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Vision, hearing and speaking to meet performance standard.
  • Required to sit for long periods or time and talk/listen via telephone.
  • Required to use keyboard and mouse to navigate software programs.  
  • The ability to safely lift up to 15 pounds on a regular basis and up to 35 pounds on an occasional basis.

Work Environment:

  • Requires ability to work in an environment where the noise level is usually moderate.
