Test for Nattokinase Efficacy

Dear Dr. Meletis, Is there any test to check how well Nattokinase is working? For example, something similar to the test when using Warfarin? Also the surgeons want to operate on my husband’s carotid artery. At the moment he is only taking 1 Nattokinase at night. How long before being operated on does he need to stop? Gratefully, Mrs. W.

Dear Mrs. W., Yes, there are a couple of tests to use with the guidance of your physician to see how well the nattokinase is working. They are PT/PTT, which measures blood thinness. Also measuring fibrinogen levels is important. One wants to avoid all blood thinners at least 2 weeks before surgery. Of course visiting with the surgeon will be important. Also you may choose to read about Oral ChelatoRx at VRP.com The information shared here is educational and is not intended as either diagnosis or treatment. Working with ones personal physician is always important. Sincerely, Chris D. Meletis, ND
