Dear Dr. Meletis,
Can my 17-year-old take Lectin Lock™ and Glabrinex™. Thank you.
I.
Dear I.,
I have many patients of all ages, children as young as 6 to older adults who use Lectin Lock. In terms of Glabrinex, if there is true visceral abdominal weight that is deep below the abdominal muscles in an older teenager it seems reasonable that Glabrinex could be helpful. However, if the weight is not deep (non-pinchable), then LeptinX™ seems a more reasonable consideration. With this said, for all youth, weight loss should be monitored by one’s primary care physician to make sure nutritional status and overall wellness is maintained during developmental years. Also if thyroid and adrenal tests have not been done, discussing with your family healthcare provider may also offer insights relative to weight optimization.

Sincerely,
Chris D. Meletis, ND
