Effective Form of L-Arginine

Text Resize: T T Reset

Dear Dr. Meletis, According to Doctor Ann de Wees Allen, L-Arginine HCI is a useless form of Arginine. She bases this on the fact that L-Arginine HCI has no blind amino rider to carry the arginine across the blood brain barrier, making it useless as an anti-aging supplement. Does VRP sell L-Arginine that has an amino acid rider to carry it across the blood brain barrier? Mr. M.

Dear Mr. M., VRP offers free-base L-Arginine. Clinically, it has great utility and also supports nitric oxide levels within the body that serve many roles including enhanced circulation. There are many "designer" products available in the market. Our diet contains plain arginine and it is utilized throughout the body. VRP does offer a product called NGF™, Neuron Growth Factors, that contains acetyl-l-carnitine arginate (arginine). On the website, there is a very informative article about NGF and its effects on neurogenesis. Sincerely, Chris D. Meletis, ND
