Controlling/Balancing Cortisol

Dear Dr. Dean,I am a 49-year-old female. Recently, a salivary test revealed I am overproducing cortisol despite life changes such as relaxation and food choices. I am wondering if my current supplementation with 1,500 mg of RNA (Ribonucleic Acid) would have any effect on my cortisol levels? I am also taking 300 mg of Phosphatidylserine. - Ms. G.

Dear Ms. G.,I don’t think RNA has any effect on your cortisol levels. Also, continue taking the Phosphatidylserine-that should help. Other substances that should help balance your cortisol include DHEA (start with 25 mg in the morning) and one or more of VRP’s other anti-stress, cortisol receptor-sensitizing formulas, such as AdaptaPhase® I, AdaptaPhase® II (newly reformulated) or VRP’s new Cortisol Control. Let me know how you do.Ward Dean, M.D.
