Dear Dr. Dean In researching the topic of androstene I have seen it referred to as both 4-Androstene-3 17 diol and 4-Androstene-3 17 dione. The operative difference being dione and diol. What is the difference between the two substances? Why does your product contain both?Jeffrey

Dear Jeffrey Androstenedione and androstenediol both convert to testosterone using different enzymes. Androstenedione can also convert to estrogen as well as testosterone but androstenediol only converts to testosterone (although testosterone itself can also convert to estrogen). To minimize estrogenic conversion and to avoid overloading either enzyme necessary to convert andro to testosterone we have combined both androstenedione and androstenediol in our newly formulated version of AndroSpray.Hope this answers your question Ward Dean M.D.
