Dear Dr. Dean We are expecting a patient with a diagnosis of ALS who is a 43-year-old male. What is your experience in treatment of ALS patients? What would be your suggestion regarding ALS treatments both oral and IV?Could colloidal silver IV protocol be included in the treatment?Thank you for all your assistance.Sincerely Dr. O
Dear Dr. O I have not had any experience in treating ALS. However I think your idea to use colloidal silver intravenously is probably a good one in the possibility that the condition is infectious in origin.I just did a quick search of some of my research files and found that vitamins D E and C have been helpful. Also magnesium (for its calcium channel-blocking effects). In this regard Calcium AEP which is helpful inMS may also help ALS.I would think that anything known to promote nerve health may also be considered—Lithium Orotate phosphatidylserine and acetyl-l-carnitine (ALC).Hope these suggestions are helpful.Ward Dean MD
