Thank you so very much for your time and reply. I do have two more questions. What is your opinion of doxycycline and tazarotene and other such related products to treat acne? I did not like what I had heard about side effects. His dermatologist is pressuring him to go on this protocol and I am leary of it. Also, you did not mention Silver Liquid - I had the impression it worked very well for acne.

Sometimes antibiotics such as doxycycline are needed for severe cases to bring the acne under control. It really depends on severity. If you end up proceeding with antibiotics or Silver Liquid, clinically, I believe that probiotics such as BioPRO™, 2 times per day is a must. Silver Liquid in my clinical practice is treated like an antibiotic relative to dosing, considerations and gastrointestinal support with probiotics.
