Glutathione (gamma-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinyl-glycine) is a tripeptide molecule synthesized in the body from L-Glutamic acid, L-Cysteine, and glycine. Glutathione is one of the body’s most important and powerful antioxidants. As glutathione neutralizes free radicals, it becomes oxidized and loses its antioxidant properties. Vitamin C helps to recycle the oxidized glutathione back to its reduced form so that it can continue to have its powerful free radical quenching effects.*
