Vitamin A from Vitamin Research Products® is the preformed form of vitamin A.
Healthy skin, eyes and bones require adequate vitamin A. Vitamin A plays an important role in building and maintaining iron-sufficient blood. Vitamin A is involved with gene expression of proteins (e.g. keratins, protein receptors) and enzymes.
Immune support
One of vitamin A’s most important roles is in immune function. Vitamin A improves the integrity of mucosal and epithelial cells. It supports healthy collagen production and skin tissue regeneration.
Vitamin A is one of the fat-soluble vitamins and naturally occurs in eggs, whole milk, butter, meat and fish liver.
In the body, it is stored in the liver, eyes, kidneys, lungs and adrenal glands.
Who can benefit?
Everyone needs some vitamin A, and those with poor nutrition and excessive alcohol intake tend to have increased needs. Seniors may have additional need for vitamin A.
Vitamin A vs. beta-carotene
Many people are familiar with beta-carotene, found in color-rich vegetables; beta-carotene converts to vitamin A. This product is the active (hence called ‘preformed’) form of vitamin A.
Pregnant women are recommended to consult their healthcare professional regarding vitamin A supplements*.
Vitamin Research Products® offers 25,000 IU of vitamin A in gelatin capsules. Best taken with food.
