Lower homocysteine levels with Advanced Methyl Caps. The nutrients in Advanced Methyl Caps have been shown in research to reduce homocysteine levels up to 30%.
What is homocysteine?
Homocysteine is an amino acid (a protein molecule) that circulates in the blood. Diet and genetics influence the amount of homocysteine in the body. A high homocysteine level is sometimes referred to as hyperhomocysteinemia. Healthy levels of homocysteine support better circulation.
Why do we care?
Research indicates that high levels of homocysteine can damage the lining and increase fatty deposits in arterial blood vessels and this compromises heart, cerebral and peripheral vascular health.
In addition, high levels of homocysteine can increase fatigue, challenge healthy brain function with advancing age, adversely affect eyes and weaken the bones. Cardiologists often measure homocysteine levels as part of a comprehensive assessment.
Nutritional biochemistry provides solutions
Through the study of biochemistry, nutrition scientists have learned that homocysteine levels can be lowered with a combination of three B-vitamins (folic acid, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12) and with betaine.
There appears to be a relationship between nutritional status of the B-vitamins, homocysteine levels and heart health: better nutritional status (higher intake) has been associated with lower homocysteine levels, and poorer nutritional status has been associated with heart concerns.
What research tells us:
Why Advanced Methyl Caps?
Advanced Methyl Caps delivers a precise blend of the vitamins associated with lower homocysteine levels in their most functional forms and dose.
Advanced Methyl Caps provides vitamin B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate, the active coenzyme form that is ready-to-work, not requiring liver activation. Methylcobalamin is the most bioavailable form of vitamin B12. Folic acid and betaine as trimethylglycine, also known as TMG, complete this targeted formula.
Independently, betaine has been shown to lower homocysteine levels*.
Advanced Methyl Caps from Vitamin Research Products are in vegetarian capsules with no added fillers or binders.
